Murry Stegelman

Murry Stegelmann

Principal, Managing Member of the General Partnership

Murry Stegelmann brings 25+ years of credit experience to Kilimanjaro and leads the team and fund’s operations. He founded Kilimanjaro in 2003 after 17 years at GE Capital where he served as Managing Director and Head of the Bank Loan Group from 1996 – 2003, and grew assets to $4.6B+ across 400 borrowers. Additionally, while at GE Capital, Mr. Stegelmann launched the Distressed Debt Group, oversaw the Asset Securitization Group, and held leadership roles with the LBO Workout Group.

Mr. Stegelmann holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and BA from Hillsdale College.

Peter Keenoy

Peter Keenoy

Principal, General Partnership

Peter Keenoy’s credit and valuation expertise span 25+ years. As a principal at Kilimanjaro, he serves as a member of the investment team. Mr. Keenoy is a co-manager at Impala Partners, an affiliate of Kilimanjaro. He served as CFO of RGIS, a principal investment of Impala Partners from 2005 – 2009. Previously, Mr. Keenoy spent over 10 years in risk management at GE Capital, including five years as the Chief Credit Officer of worldwide corporate lending with oversight of an $11 billion loan portfolio. As CCO, he supervised underwriting and diligence efforts on over $20 billion of investments and led diligence efforts in acquisitions of financial institutions in Hungary, Poland, Italy, and Czech Republic. He was selected to replace Paul Street (now a colleague at Kilimanjaro) as head of the GE Capital LBO Workout Group. Prior to joining GE Capital, Keenoy was in the Audit Division of Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Keenoy earned his MBA at the University of Chicago and BS from Georgetown University. He currently serves on the Board of India Value Funds, which has $1.3 billion of commitments under management, the Board of Special Olympics – Connecticut, and the Board of Regents of Georgetown University.

Paul Street

Paul Street

Principal, General Partnership

Paul Street is a leader in corporate workouts and restructurings. During his career, Mr. Street has overseen 100+ corporate workouts or restructurings, including one of the largest Enron SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles), Winstar, and Horizon Telecom. In addition to his role at Kilimanjaro, Mr. Street is a founder and co-manager at Impala Partners, an affiliate of Kilimanjaro. In that role, he served as CEO of RGIS, a principal investment of Impala Partners. Previously, Mr. Street was a Managing Director and General Partner at Lazard Frères, where he established and led Mexico Partners Trust, a Mexico focused distressed debt fund. Prior to Lazard Frères, Mr. Street served as Head of Strategy and Business Development at GE Capital, including launching and leading the LBO Workout Group. Before joining GE, Paul was a Partner at McKinsey & Company where his focus was on strategy for manufacturing, financial services and telecommunications clients.

Mr. Street holds an MBA from IMD in Switzerland and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of South Africa.

Peter Nathanial

Peter Nathanial

Peter Nathanial is a leader in the arena of governance, global credit and risk management and banking. Prior to joining Kilimanjaro, Mr. Nathanial served as Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Executive Committee at The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc from 2007 – 2009. There he was responsible for a balance sheet of $3 trillion globally. He formed RBS’ Global Restructuring Group and Strategic Assets Unit with $100 billion+ combined assets and led the overhaul of management, structure, policies, and risk mitigation across RBS worldwide. Prior to RBS, Mr. Nathanial held senior leadership positions at Citigroup in New York, Zurich, London, Moscow and Warsaw for 15 years. He served as senior Corporate Officer, Head of Global Risk Oversight and Investments responsible for Citigroup’s Asset Management, Insurance, Alternative Investments Businesses, Employee Pension Plans, Country Risk and Citigroup’s proprietary merger and acquisition activities.

Mr. Nathanial currently serves as a frequent guest lecturer and advisor on the topics of risk management and corporate governance, and has advised the Bank for International Settlements, various central banks and heads of state. Mr. Nathanial has also served as an Expert Special Advisor to the International Monetary Fund. Mr. Nathanial earned his BA from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Frank Brokaw

Frank Brokaw serves as Senior Advisor and independent member of the Kilimanjaro investment committee. Previously, Mr. Brokaw was Senior Credit Officer at GE Capital, where he oversaw all deals in excess of $100 million. Prior to GE Capital, Mr. Brokaw was Chief Credit Officer at Security Pacific Merchant Bank (acquired by Bank of America).

Mr. Brokaw earned his BA from Stanford University and MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Andrew Bekker

Andrew Bekker, CFA

Investment Professional

Andrew Bekker is an investment professional at Kilimanjaro Advisors. Previously, Mr. Bekker was a consultant with FTI Consulting, a business consulting firm, where he focused on restructuring and turnaround consulting for distressed and bankrupt companies. He began his career in the investment banking division at Gleacher & Company.

Mr. Bekker earned his B.S. from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
